The Streets last ever show at the Big Reunion!

The UK's biggest indoor winter music festival, The Big Reunion, witnesses an emotional farewell show from UK garage/rap band, The Streets. An epic couple of weekends and the band's front man, Mike Skinner also celebrated his birthday. It was an impassioned farewell as the band and their production team enjoyed a drink on stage with their fans!

Both weekends featured an ecelectic mix of music with a mash up of dance, rock and rave with a star studded line up featuring the likes of Example + DJ Wire, Wretch 32, Labrinth, Kissy Sell Out & MC Cobra, Judge Jules, Pendulum (DJ Set), Chase and Statue (DJ Set) and Devlin amongst others.

Eleven years old and still going strong, The Big Reunion is proof that winter is not so gloomy and dark making it THE event of the season. We hope you had an amazing time as did we. Watch this space for tickets to 2012!

Weekend 2 Overbooking - An Apology.
Official Apology

The Big Reunion would like to apologise to those customers affected by the overbooking of Weekend 2.

Due to a technical issue with our reservations system, Weekend 2 has unfortunately been oversubscribed.  Due to the availability of accommodation and our site capacity we have regrettably had to cancel a number of bookings.

This has affected a small number of bookings intended only for Weekend 2.  Those customers who have been affected have been notified by a letter to the lead name of the booking.  All letters should have arrived on the 17th and 18th of November.

Weekend One Lineup Announcement

Due to filming commitments for Children in Need, Professor Green will sadly be unable to perform at Weekend 1 of The Big Reunion,

 

To replace the headline spot in the TwiceasNice arena on Friday we have confirmed not one but TWO of the biggest most current acts in UK music today…..

Kicking off Weekend One, London grime rapper Wretch 32 who has fast tracked his way to success during 2011 is set to deliver insanely infectious set in the TwiceasNice arena. Having previously collaborated with Example on hit single ‘Unorthodox’ and stamped his presence in the rap scene with the immense ‘Traktor’ and first UK Number 1 ‘Don’t Go’ – Wretch 32 is sure to fire up the first night and set the tone for the whole weekend.

 

 

Also gracing their presence on the same stage is chart favourite Labrinth. A star in the making having worked with array of incredible talent such as Example, Tinie Tempah, Devlin and Professor Green – the singer songwriter is sure to bring the party into it’s true element with latest smash hit ‘Earthquake’.

'Its with my sincerest regret that I will not be performing for TwiceasNice at The Big Reunion in Skegness this coming Friday. I was asked to perform on Children In Need and I personally felt that this was something I couldn't say no to. I apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment that this may cause but hope that you all understand my position. I look forward to seeing you all very soon. Have a great weekend.'

The Big Reunion is now Sold Out.  We are unable to accept any more changes to bookings as all accommodation has now been allocated for both weekends and the BR Crew are now onsite arranging what is going to be the weekend of your life!  Please do not buy or exchange tickets as no name changes can now be made.

Big Reunion Update

The Big Reunion Weekend One is just a week away and with Weekend Two just 7 days behind you should be all ready for the biggest weekend of your year, but just in case you have a burning question, here are some FAQs...

  Are there any tickets left?

Sorry but if you don't have a ticket yet for The Big Reunion, we won't be able to help. We've sold so many tickets this year, its absolutely guaranteed to be the biggest Big Reunion ever.

  I've heard about VIP upgrade. Can I do this?

Once again, we're completely sold out and so expect the Golden Circle to be packed and the site to be busy with people checking out late on the Sunday!

Coaches? Can I still book a coach?
We do still have some limited coach places available from some destinations, and so if you want to join one of our fun buses, give us a call on 0844 871 6633.

I need to change one of the names on my booking or my address.
The last chance to do this is one week before the weekend you're attending. So make sure you give us a call ASAP if you have any changes to make.

I haven't received any documents yet? How will you know who I am?
Don't panic, your checking in pack will be with you the week of your event which contains all the latest updates about the weekend and all your info. If you haven't received a pack 2 days before the event though, please give us a call.

Massive Additions To Weekend Two

One weekend isn't enough partying for The Big Reunion and the second weekend  begins on 25th November 2011.

 

New acts have been confirmed for this year's final line up and we are delighted to announce the following additions to the line up!

 

 

C
hase & Status

Chase and Status, hailed as the ‘most exciting producers in the UK today’ will be performing a DJ set at the second weekend of this year’s Big Reunion. After meeting at university in the mid-90’s with a mutual love of drum and bass, Saul Milton and Will Kennard have become one of the biggest electronic acts around! Since meeting they’ve remixed some of the hottest stars including Jay-Z and The Prodigy as well as writing their own massive tunes like ‘End Credits’ (featuring Plan B), ‘Blind Faith’ and the summer anthem of 2010 ‘Let You Go’.

Chipmunk

The 2008 MOBO awards’ best newcomer and best hip-hop act Chipmunk will be playing on the Friday night. Born and raised in Tottenham, Jamaal Noel Fyffe (otherwise known as Chipmunk) has landed five top ten hits including ‘Champion’ and ‘Oopsy Daisy’ which went straight to number one in 2009. He has worked with big stars such as Trey Songz, Keri Hilson and Chris Brown and with a new top ten album, Transition, released earlier this year he is sure to bring a champion performance!

 

Ms Dynamite

Two time Brit Award winner, three time MOBO award winner and Mercury Prize winner Ms Dynamite is another new addition to this year’s line up! Raised in Archway, London she first appeared on London pirate stations with underground grime track ‘Booo!’, and soon made a name for herself with a top ten album and several top ten singles, plus recently featuring on Katy B’s track ‘Lights On’. With classic tracks like ‘It Takes More’ and ‘Dy-na-mi-tee’ she is going to blow you away on the Saturday with an explosive performance.

Rizzle Kicks

Rizzle Kicks will be bringing the trumpets to this year’s festival and having been nominated for best video, best hip/hop grime act and best newcomer at this year’s MOBO awards they are heading towards being one of the most important names in hip/hop. They already have a top ten single under their belt with ‘Down with the Trumpets’ and are sharing company with the likes of Olly Murs, landing a number one single with ‘Heart Skips A Beat’ in the process.

Massive Editions To Weekend 1

The Big Reunion is set to kick off with its first weekend of this year beginning on the 18th November 2011.  New acts have been confirmed for this year’s final line up and we are delighted to announce the following additions to the lineup.

 

Pendulum

Drum and Bass Superstars Pendulum formed in 2002 in Western Australia, the band members were active in Perth’s live music scene for over several years. In 2010 their album “Immersion” went straight to number one in the UK album chart with their single “Watercolour” claiming the number 4 spot in the UK single chart, making it the biggest hit to date. They have had numerous successes with their music, with well known hits including “Witchcraft, The Island, and Tarantula”.

 

Ms Dynamite

Ms Dynamite is an artist who was born and raised in Archway, London. She was first know for her vocal on the UK garage track “Booo!” it was only released on the radio but eventually turned into a single. When she first started her biggest hit was “Dy-na-mi-tee” which was released in 2002. She picked up the Mercury Music prize and the rest is history.

 

Having taken a bit of time out starting a family she has made a come back, and she now features on Katy B’s second single “Lights on” which was released in December 2010 and reached number 4 in the UK single charts.

 

Toddla T

Toddla T is a 26-year old from Sheffield. He has DJ’d with Winston Hazel and Ross Orton. He has recorded and written his own tracks called, “Back chatter” and “Fill up mi potion” these are both versions on his "Do U Know Riddim”.

 

Toddla’s first album features further collaborations with Matt Helders from the Artic Monkeys, Benjamin Zephaniah, Roots Manuva, Tinchy Stryder, Joe Goddard and Herve.

He is involved in recording and producing various artists such as Jammer, Trojan Sound System, Lady Chann and Tinchy Stryder. He recently signed to the record label Ninja Tune and is currently working on his next album.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Rizzle Kicks

Rizzle Kicks have been nominated for the Best Newcomer, Best Hip Hop/ Grime & Best video at the 2011 MOBO Awards.

The group are originally from Brighton and have already released 3 hit singles in 2011.    Prophet ( Better watch it), Down with the trumpet and  Youngster have got Rizzle noticed in a big way and made him a darling of the UK scene. Currently in the charts on Olly Murs' new single “Heart skips a beat” features Rizzle Kicks.

 

This is just some of the acts that are going to be performing for all you lucky people who are attending this fabulous winter music festival at Skegness.

 

You are in for a awesome night, with great music and an all round party atmosphere, this will undoubtedly be a not too miss event!

Invoices Delayed - but you can still pay your balance

 

Due to Unforseen technical issues , invoices and booking confirmation forms have been delayed in being sent. They are now being created as fast as we can and we should soon be caught up. You don't need to have your invoice in order to pay your balance - simply ring up with the resort you went to, the name of your lead person on the booking and we can find and accept payments for your bookings.

The Streets set to headline biggest Reunion yet!
Brummie rap/garage band The Streets will make one of their final ever appearances at  The Big Reunion 2011 weekends.

 

With hits throughout the noughties, their first album "Original Pirate Material" is reguarly voted on to best album ever lists and brought urban music back into the charts. We can't wait to see Mike Skinner bringing his legendary "Moses" to the Skyline on what is already looking like an incredible line-up at this early stage.
